X³-8x²+8x+21

Put x = 3 to know whether it is a zero of the polynomial.

= (3)³-8(3)²+8(3)+21

= 27-8(9)+24+21

= 27-72+24+21

= 72-72

= 0

Therefore,3 is a zero of the given polynomial.
