1- the knee joint is a synovial joint, which connects the femur, the longest bone in the body, to the tibia.

2- there are two main joints in the knees- the tibiatemoral joint where the tibia meet the femur.

3-these two joints work together to forma modified hinge joint that allows the knee to bend & straightenbeat also to rotate slightly from side to side.
