A and B can do the work in 3 days. Therefore, A and B completes 1/3rd of the work in 1 day. Therefore in 2 days they complete 2/3rd work in 2 days and 1/3rd of the work is now left for A.

A completes 1/3rd of the work in 2 days, or in 1 day he completes 1/6th of the work.

∴∴ B can complete (1/3 — 1/6) = 1/6th of the work.

Thus B completes the work in 6 days.
