11. a)Aqueous solution of HCl shows acidic character. But the aqueous solutions of glucose fail to do so.Why? b) Why curd and other sour substance cannot be kept in brass and copper vessels?

2nd: curd and sour substances are acidic in nature and as we acids attack most  of the metals. hence if acidic substances like curd or sour substances are kept in copper or brass vessels they react to form toxic compounds and make the food stuff unfit for consumption

(A)HCl solution has more H3O+(hydronium ion) concentration than glucose.hence,HCl shows acidic properties.

(B)curd and sour substances contain acids which reacts with brass and copper vessels to form poisonous compounds.these goods are highly hazardous for our health if consumed
