The ratio of the speed of the bus and train is 2:3.

Explanation:

For the bus,

Distance covered = 126 km.

Time taken to cover the distance = 3 hours.

Speed = (distance/time)

           = (126/3) km/h

           = 42 km/h

∴ The speed of the bus is 42 km/h.

For the train,

Distance covered = 315 km

Time = 5 hours

Speed = (distance/time)

           = (315/5) km/h

          = 63 km/h

∴ The speed of the train is 63 km/h.

∴ The ratio of the speed of the bus and the train_

42:63

= 42/63 [∴ Dividing by 21 on both the sides.]

= 2/3

=2:3

∴ The ratio of the speed of the bus and the train is 2:3.

*There is no unit for any kind of ratio.
