Time of journey = 3s

Initial velocity = 3m/s

Final velocity = 10m/s

We have to find magnitude of applied force on the body.

  • F = dp/dt

We know that, momentum is measured as the product of mass and velocity.

So we can say that, F = m(v - u)/dt

⇒ F = m(v - u)/dt

⇒ F = 2(7)/3
