area of laws =length *breadth

=20*7.5

=150

length equal to 3 cm equal to 0.03m

Breath equal to 2.5dm equal to 0.25m

area of 1 titles=0.03*0.25

=0.0075

number of title required equal to

total area/ area of 1 title

Given :-

  • Length of the lawn = 20 m.
  • Breadth of the lawn = 7.5 m.
  • Dimension of each tile = 3 cm × 2.5 dm.

To Find :-

  • Number of tiles required.

Solution :-

Converting metre to cm :-

➡  20 m

➩  20 × 100

➩  2000 cm.

➡  7.5 m

➩  7.5 × 100

➩  750 cm.

Area of the lawn :-

➩  Length × Breadth

➩  2000 × 750

➩  1500000 cm².

Area of each tiles :-

➩  3 cm × 2.5 dm

➩  75 cm².

Total Number of tiles :-

➩  Area of lawn/Area of each tiles.

➩  1500000/75

➩  20000.

∴ Number of tiles = 2000.
