Answer:-

\red\bigstar Cost of Construction of the path = Rs 25000.

SOLUTION

\setlength{\unitlength}{1cm}\begin{picture}(0,0)\thicklines\put(0,0){\framebox(8,4)}\put(0.5,0.5){\framebox(7,3)}\multiput(2,0.15)(0,3.5){2}{\sf 5\:m}\put(4.5,4.25){\sf 200\:m}\put(8.3,2){\sf 60\:m}\put(-0.5,4){\sf A}\put(8.3,4){\sf D}\put(-0.5,-0.5){\sf B}\put(8.3,-0.5){\sf C}\end{picture}

\bigstar Area of rectangle = Length (l) × Breadth(b)

AREA OF RECTANGLE ABCD

Length (l) of the rectangle = 200m.

Breadth (b) of the rectangle = 60m.

Area of the rectangle = 200 × 60

Area of the rectangle = 12000m².

AREA OF THE INNER RECTANGLE.

Length (l) of the rectangle  = 200 - (5×2) = 200 - 10 = 190m.

Breadth (b) of the rectangle  = 60 - (5×2) = 60 - 10 = 50m.

Area of the rectangle = 190 × 50

Area of the rectangle = 9500 m².

AREA  OF THE PATH

Area of the path = Area of Rectangle ABCD - Area of inner rectangle

Area of the path = 12000 - 9500

Area of the path = 2500m².

COST OF CONSTRUCTING THE PATH

Rate of  constructing the path = Rs10/m².

Cost of construction = Area of the path × Rate of construction

Cost of construction =  2500 × 10 = Rs25000.
