Question:

A swimming pool of length =25m, breadth =15m at height =2m is three fourths full of water. Find the volume of water in the pool.

Answer:

Pool is in the shape of a cuboid.

Volume of cuboid =length×breadth×height

So,

Volume of the pool =25×15×2

=750m3

Volume of the water in the pool  = 3/4 750 = 562.5 m3

(3/4 means in fraction)

(3 should be written in small in top after m)
