Step-by-step explanation:

Given:ABCD is a kite.

To find:Write the coordinates of points where it meet the axes. Write equation of its diagonals. Also find its area.

Solution:

1) Coordinates of points where it meet the axes:

It can be easily find from the graph

A(0,-2)

B(3,0)

C(0,4)

D(-3,0)

2)Write equation of its diagonals:

Diagonal AC: It is lies on y -axis

So,

Equation of Diagonal AC is ;x= 0

Diagonal BD: It is lies on x- axis

So,

Equation of Diagonal BD is; y= 0

3) Area of Kite:

We know that formula of area of kite

 = \frac{1}{2} d1 \times d2 \\ \\

In order to find the area of kite ABCD, find the length of diagonal

Length of AC= 6 cm/units

Length of BD=6 cm/units

area =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 6 \times 6 \\  \\  = 18 \:  {cm}^{2}  \: ( {unit}^{2} ) \\  \\

Area of ABCD is 18 unit².

Hope it helps you.
