11. An elevator descends into a mine shaft at the rate of 6 m/min. The descent starts from
10 m above sea level.
(1) Where will it reach in 20 minutes?
(11) How long will it take to reach a depth of -350 m?​

Answer: (i) -110m

               (ii)1 hour

Step-by-step explanation:

(i)

in 20 min. it will travel a distance = 6 x 20

                                                        =120m

right now it is at +10m

after 20 min= +10 - 120 = -110m

(ii)

to get to -350m,

distance travelled would be= 350+10=360m

time to travel 360m = 360/6 = 60min =1 hour
