Since % is given let's take a 100g sample

Therefore, mass of manganese in the sample is 69.64g

And mass of oxygen in the sample is 30.36g

Element -Mn

  • Mass - 69.64g
  • No of mole - 1.26
  • Mole ratio- 1

Element- O

  • Mass - 30.36
  • No of Mole - 1.89
  • Mole ratio - 1.5

From above data we get Mole ratio in whole numbers that is Mn - 2 (1+1) and O - 3 (1.5+1.5)

Therefore Formula of the given Manganese oxide is Mn2O3
