11) Ananya and Ameya went for a picnic with their family. At the picnic spot they saw two types of park. One is of square shape and the other one is of rectangle shape. Ananya ran towards the square park of side 75m and Ameya ran towards the rectangular park with length 60m and breadth 45m. Answer the following questions based on the above paragraph

(a) Ananya starts to measure the distance she covers one time around the park. What will that distance represent? Area or perimeter.

(b) Ameya saw a gardener covering the whole park with grass. Then what will be the area to be covered?

(c) If Ananya walks two times around the park, find the distance she covered?

(d) What is the cost of covering the park with grass if 1 sq metre costs Rs.20?​

1.) perimeter.

2.) area = length × Breadth = 60 × 45 = 2700 m^2.

3. ) perimeter of square × 2 = 75 × 4 × 2 = 600 m.

4.) cost of square park = 20 × 75 × 75 = 112500 Rs.

cost of rectangular park = 20 × 60 × 45 = 54000 Rs.
