Given :

The charge of proton = 1.6 * 10 ^ (-19) C

The distance between the protons = 4.0 * 10 ^ (-15) m

To find :

The forces between the protons .

Solution :

Force , F = k * q_1 * q_2 / r * r

where , k is constant equal to 9.0 * 10 ^ 9 Nm^2 / C^2 ,

q_1 and q_2 are two charges ,

and , r is distance between the charges .

Now ,

F = [ 9.0 * 10^9 * 1.6 * 10^(-19) * 1.6 * 10^(-19)] / [ 4.0 * 10^(-15) * 4.0 * 10^(-15)]

=> F = 14.4 N

The forces between the protons is 14.4 N .
