11.Draw a schematic diagram to show the following in the circuit diagram: a 10 ohm resistor, 20 ohm resistor in series connected in parallel to a 5 ohm resistor, 25 ohm resistor in series which are connected to a battery of 12 volt and a switch. a) Calculate the effective resistance of the arrangement b) What is the total current in the circuit?

For Series

RA = 5Ω + 25Ω → 30Ω

RB = 10Ω + 20Ω → 30Ω

For parallel

1/Total resistance = 1/RA + 1/RB

→ 1/30 + 1/30

→ 2/30

→1/15

Total(Effective) resistance = 15Ω

Total current in the circuit

V = IR

I = V/R

→ 12/15

→ 0.8 A
