है। यदि कुल लाभ 60 रु. हो, तो वस्तु का (i) अंकित मूल्य तथा (ii) दुकानदार का क्रय-मूल्य

कुल लाभ 60 रु

Discount on marked price = 25%

Profit percentage = 20%

and Total profit = Rs 60

To find:

(i) अंकित मूल्य i.e. Marked Price = ?

(ii) दुकानदार का क्रय-मूल्य i.e. Cost Price = ?

Solution:

We know that Profit Percentage is always calculated on Cost Price

$\text{Profit }\%$ = 20%

i.e. 20% of Cost Price = Rs. 60

Let Cost price = x

As per question statement:

$20\%\ of\ x = 60\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{20}{100} \times x = 60\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{x}{5}=60\\\Rightarrow x =300$

So, (ii) दुकानदार का क्रय-मूल्य i.e. Cost Price = Rs. 300

Let, अंकित मूल्य i.e. Marked Price = y

We know that:

बिक्री मूल्य = क्रय मूल्य + लाभ

Sales Price = Cost Price + Profit

Sales Price = 300 + 60 = Rs. 360

Marked Price - Discount = Sales Price

$\Rightarrow y - y \times 25\% = 360\\\Rigtharrow y - y \times \dfrac{1}{4} = 360\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{3}{4}y = 360\\\Rightarrow y = 480$

(i) अंकित मूल्य i.e. Marked Price = Rs. 480
