Given : 2,6,30,20,130,40,350,72​

To Find :  wrong term

Solution:

2 = 1³  + 1

6 = 2² + 2

30 = 3³ + 3

20 = 4²+ 4

130 = 5³ + 5

40 = 6² + 6 = 42  ( This is not satisfying )

350 = 7³  + 7

72 = 8² + 8

Wrong term is 40 which should be 42

Tₙ = n³ + n  if n is odd

   = n² + n  if n is even

→ 2,6,30,20,130,40,350,72 .

as we can see that all given numbers are even numbers .

so, using concept of prime numbers and composite numbers we get,

  • Composite numbers = Numbers which have more than 2 factors . Ex. 4, 6, 8, 12 ________

so, from given terms we can conclude that,
