Area of one flower bed=1 m×1 m=1 sq.m

Area of 4 flower beds=1 ×4= 4sq.m

Area of piece of land =length ×breadth

=4m ×7m

=28sq.m

area of remaining land=area of piece of land-

area of flower beds

=28-7

=21sq.m

Step-by-step explanation:

area of one flower bed =1m

area of four flower beds=4×1=4sq.m

area of piece of land =length×breadth

=7m×5m

=35sq.m

area of remaining land =area of piece of land - area of

flower beds

= 35-4= 31sq m
