Endocytosis is the process of uptake of materials from outside the cell by the invagination of the plasma membrane.

Plasmolysis is the process of contraction of the protoplast of a plant cell as a result of loss of water from the cell.

If the organisation of a cell is destroyed due to some physical or chemical influence then the cell will not able to perform the basic functions like respiration, excretion, nutrition etc. This may stop all the life activities and may result in it's death.
