Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

2 and- 3 are the zeros of the quadratic polynomial x² +( a + 1)x + b.

To Find :-

the value of a and b.

Solution :-

Let α = 2 and β = -3 .

Sum of zeros = - B/A

⇒ α + β = - B/A .

⇒ 2 + ( -3 ) = -( a + 1 )/1 .

⇒ -1 = - a - 1 .

⇒ a = - 1 + 1 .

⇒ a = 0 .

Product of zeros = C/A .

⇒ α × β = C/A .

⇒ 2 × (-3) = b/1 .

⇒ -6 = b .

b = - 6 .

Hence, The values of A and B are 0 and -6.
