Question:-

If Meena gives an interest of 45 for one year at 9% rate p.a.. What is the sum she has borrowed?

Answer:-

Given:

Meena gives an interest of Rs.45 for one year at 9% rate p.a.

To find:

What is the sum she has borrowed ?

Solution:

Applying interest formula,

 \red \mapsto \red{ \underline{ \boxed{\sf{I=P\times R\times T}}}}

Where,

I (Interest) = Rs.45

R = 9% = 0.09 (Interest Rate)

T = 1 year (Time)

P = Principal or Sum

Substitute the value in the formula,

 \red  \rightarrow \red{ \underline{ \boxed{\sf{45=P\times 0.09\times 1}}}} \:

 \red \rightarrow \red{ \underline{ \boxed{\sf{P=\frac{45}{0.09}}}}} \:

 \red \rightarrow\red{ \underline{ \boxed{\sf{ \frac{ 45 \times 100}{ 1 \times 9 } = P</p><p>}}}}

 \red  \mapsto \red{ \underline{ \boxed{\sf{500 = P}}}}

 \red{ \underline{ \boxed{\sf{Therefore, The  \: sum \:  borrowed \:  =   Rs. \: 500.</p><p>}}}}
