16cm

given :-

  • side of square = 20cm
  • length of rectangle = 25cm
  • area of rectangle = area of square

we know that,

 \bold {area \: of \: square =  {side}^{2}   \:  \:  \:  \: } \\  \\  \bold{area \: of \: rectangle = l \times b}

here,

 \bold{area \: of \: square = 20 \times 20} \\  \bold{ \implies a1 =   400 {cm}^{2} } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

and

 \bold{area \: of \: rectangle = 25 \times b} \\ \bold{   \implies \: a2 = 25b \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

and according to question;

 \bold{a1 = a2} \\    \bold{\implies \: 400 = 25b }  \\ \\  \bold { \implies \: b =  \frac{400}{25} } \\  \\  \bold{ \implies \: b = 16cm}

so, length of rectangle is 16cm

\bold\red{SolutiOn}

Given:

  • Side of the square of side is 20 cm
  • area of triangle is equal to area of square.
  • length of rectangle is 25 cm.

\boxed{\sf{.°.~area~of~square=side²}}

\boxed{\sf{area~of~rectangle=L×B}}

So:

\sf\pink{Area ~of ~square: 20×20}

{↪}\tt\purple{al:400cm²}

&

\sf\orange{Area~of~rectangle:25×b}

{↪}\tt{a2:25b}

To follow the question:

\tt{al:a2}

\longrightarrow\tt{400:25b}

\longrightarrow\tt{b:\dfrac{\not 400}{\not 25}}

{⇒}\tt{b:16cm}
