If measurement of sides of a square is doubled. Then, Area of square will becomes 4 times.

For example:-

If the side of square is 4 cm.

Area of square = Side × Side = (Side)²

Area = (4)²

Area = 16 cm²

If we double the measurement of side means 2 × 4 = 8 cm.

Now, Area will be (8)² = 64 cm².

Verification:-

First area is 16 if we 4 times 16.

4×16 = 64 cm².

Then, Area will be 64 cm².

Hence, Verified.

Therefore, If we double sides of square then , Area will become 4 times.
