so a+b=30 and a/b = 2/3

so a + 3/2 a = 30

5/2 a = 30

a = 12

then b=18

b)the fraction is a-2/a

then a-2/a+1 = 1/2

2a-4=a+1

a=5

then fraction is 3/5

Let the numbers be x,30-x
X/30-x=2/3
60-2x=3x
5x=60
X=12
So numbers are 12,18
