in triangle ABC ,AD is a median

There for, CD = DB

CD = CB ÷2

CD=5

by apollonius theorem,

AC^2 + AB^2 = 2( AD^2 + CD^2 )

13^2 + 9^2 = 2( AD^2 + 5^2)

169 + 81 = 2( AD^2 + 25)

250=2(AD^2+25)

250÷2 = AD^2 + 25

125 - 25 = AD^2

100 = AD^2

AD = √100

AD = 10

length of median is 10
