Given,

Mean = 15

Mode = 18

To Find,

Median = ?

Solution,

Mean and mode is given in the question and we know the relationship between mean, mode and median that is,

Mean – Mode = 3 (Mean – Median)

Putting the values of mean and mode in this formula, we get:

15 - 18 = 3(15 - Median)

3(15 - Median) = -3

15 -  Median = -3/3

15 -  Median = -1

15 - (-1) = Median

Median = 16

Hence,  In a moderately asymmetrical distribution, the value of mean and mode is 15 and 18 respectively. The value of the median will be 16.
