Given: 120 students are male 100 students are  female, 25% of the male students and 20% of the female students are rural students

To find: What % of rural students passed the exam

Solution:

  • So, as per the question says,

25% of the male students, that is:

               25%of 120 (male)

                = 25/100 x 120

                = 30

20% of the female students, that is:

                20% of 100(female)

                =20/100 x 100

                =20

                are rural.

  • So rural students are 30+20=50
  • So now,
  • Exam pass by 20 Male and 5 female (25% of 20)
  • Total pass students ( rural )

              =25

Answer:

              50% of total rural students.
