Given : XYZ is a straight line

∠XYP + ∠ZYQ = 85°

To Find :  ∠PYQ

Solution:

XYZ is a straight line

∠XYP + ∠PYQ + ∠ZYQ  = 180°   ( Straight line)

=> ∠XYP + ∠ZYQ   + ∠PYQ  = 180°

∠XYP + ∠ZYQ = 85°  Given

=> 85°  + ∠PYQ  = 180°

=> ∠PYQ  = 180°   - 85°

=> ∠PYQ  =95°

Answer:

XYZ is a straight line ie, XYZ= 180°

<XYP + <QYZ = 85°

<PYQ = ?

Step-by-step explanation:

=> <XYP + <QYZ + <PYQ = 180°

Let <PYQ = x

=> <XYP + <QYZ + x = 180°

= 85° + x = 180°

x = 180° - 85°

*x = 95°
