11. Mrs Sinha wants to cover the floor of her kitchen with tles The length and breath of the kitchen 5 m and 3 m respectively. The length and breadth of each tile are 20 cm and 15 cm respectivdy Find the number of tiles required to pave the floor.​

Length of kitchen = 5m

Breadth of kitchen = 3m

Area = L*B = 5 * 3 = 15 sq. m

Perimeter = 2(L+B) = 2(5+3) = 2 * 8 = 16m

Length of each tile = 20 cm

Breadth of each tile = 15 cm

Perimeter of each tile = 2(L + B) = 2(20+15) = 2 * 35 = 70cm

1 meter = 100cm

16 meter = 1600 cm

Tiles required to cover the entire floor = 1600 / 70

22 tiles
