11. One card is drawn out from the well shuffled pack of cards, find the probability that the card is (i)A face card (ii) Number 7 (iii) King or black card

Face cards are king , queen and jack.

So in a pack there are 52 cards then

(i) Face cards are 3 × 4 = 12. As there are 4 colors

Then 12/52 = 1/13

( ii) There are four 7's. So 4/52 = 1/13

(iii) three are 13 cards of each color so 13 ×2 = 26. Black cards...

Altogether there are 4 kings then... 4×4=16

On adding we get 26+16= 42

Then 42/52= 21/26
