Given

\bold{Length \ of \ one \ side \ of \ a \ square} = 62 \ m

SOMETHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

\bold{Area \ of \ a \ square} = Side \times Side\\\bold{Perimeter \ of \ a \ square} = 4 \times Side

\bold{Area \ of \ the \ square \ field}

= 62 \times 62

= \underline{\underline{ 3844 \ m^{2} }}

\bold{Cost \ per \ square \ metre} = 5.50 \ Rs.

\bold{Total \ cost}

=3844 \times 5.50

=Rs. \ 21142

\boxed{\boxed{\bold{Therefore, \ the \ total \ cost \ is \ 21142 \ Rupees}}}

Given:

  • One side of a square field = 62 m
  • Cost of raising lawn for 1 m² = ₹5.50

To find:

  1. Total cost of raising the lawn = ?

Formula used:

 \boxed{ \sf{area \:  of  \: square =  (Side) {}^{2} }}

Method:

Area of square = Side²

↦Area = (62)²

→ Area = 62m × 62m

Area = 3844 m²

Cost of raising lawn for 1 m² = ₹5.50

Cost of raising lawn for 3844 m²

= 3844 × 5.50

= ₹ 21142

Therefore the Total cost of raising lawn = ₹ 21142

Additional information:

  • For finding the cost for raising lawn, we need to find area (as in the above answer)
  • For finding the cost of raising fence, we need to find perimeter
  • Formula used for perimeter of a square is 4 × Side
