Unity And Harmony
Probably, there seemed to have been more harmony and a strong
unity in the human personality in the days of old. Though it was ata
lower level, than today, except for certain individuals, who were
obviously of a very high type. During this period of transition,
through which mankind has been passing, we have sadly managed
to split that unity, but have not so far succeeded in finding another
solution. We hold still to the ways of overbearing religion, follow
outworn practices and strict beliefs. And yet we converse and
assume to live in terms of the scientific teachings. In all its
likelihood, science has been too narrow in its doctrine to life.
We have ignored many important facets of it, and therefore couldn't provide a befitting basis for some new harmony and unity.
Probably, it is slowly broadening this facet now and we shall go on to achieve a new harmonious system for human personality
on a greater level than the previous one. Perhaps the problem is a more difficult and a complex one, presently. It was easier to
develop a more harmonious personality in the restricted periphery of ancient and medieval times. In that tiny world of a town
and a village, with fixed beliefs of a social organisation and attitude, an individual and a group lived their self-contained lives,
protected and shielded, as a rule from outer backlashes.
