Given parallelogram UVWX as described in the figure and the length of the side

UV=5cm.

Also perimeter of the parallelogram

UVWX=22cm.

To find:- The length of the side UX.A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with the opposite sides parallel to each other and are equal in length.

∴ UV ∥ XW, UX ∥ VW and

,Length of UV= length of XW,Length of UX= length of VW.

The perimeter of a parallelogram = sum of the length of its four sides = length of UV+length of VW+length of XW+length of UX∴22=25+2(the length of the side UX)

⇒2(the length of the side UX)=22-10,

⇒The length of the side UX=122=6cm...
