12) let the one consecutive odd number is x+1 and another be x+3

their sum is 56

x+1+x+3=56

2x+4=56

2x=56-4

2x=52

x=26

now the first consecutive odd number be x+1=26+1=27

second consecutive odd number=x+3=26+3

=29
