11. The area of a rectangular plot is 340 sq. m. If its breadth is 17 m, find its length
and the perimeter​

Given :

  • Breadth = 17 m
  • Area = 340 m²

To find :

  • Length &
  • Perimeter

Formula used :

  • Area= Length/Breadth
  • Perimeter = 2(l+b)

Find

Area = Length/breadth

Length = Area/Breadth

Length = 340/17 = 20

Hence, Length = 20m

Now,

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

= 2(20+17)

= 2×37m

=74m

Hence, Perimeter = 74m.

Length = 20m

Perimeter = 74 m.
