Given,

Diameter, d = 98 cm

Radius, r = 49 cm

Therefore,

Circumference of the wheel = 2.π.r

= (2. 22/7. 49) cm

= 308 cm

Therefore,

In 1 round it cover a distance of = 308 cm

In 1000 round it can cover a distance of

= (308 × 1000) cm

= 308000 cm

= 3080 m

= 3.08 km

Therefore, in 1000 round the lorry can cover a distance of 3.08 km.

In the above question, the diameter of the wheel of a lorry is given and it is asked to find the distance travelled in 1000 rotations and for that here is the answer:-

Diameter = 98 cm

Radius = 98/2 = 49 cm

Distance travelled in 1 rotation

= Circumference = 2πr = 2×22/7×49

= 308 cm

= 3.08 m

Distance travelled in 1000 rotations = 3.08×1000

= 3080 m

Hope this answer will help you.
