ATQ, Subham is 7 years younger than his sister.

➡ x = y - 7 (since x is 7 years younger than y)

now, putting value of x = y - 7 in equation (i)

➡ (y - 7) + y = 8

➡ y - 7 + y = 8

➡ y + y = 8 + 7

➡ 2y = 15
