Answer:

the three digit number is 534

Step-by-step explanation:

consider the 3 digit number as a b c

= 100a+ 10b + c

given a+b+c = 12 _____(1)

also, ten's digit is 2 less than the hundred's unit

b = a-2

and, the unit's digit is 4 less than the sum of ten's and hundred's digit

c= (a) + (b) - 4

c= (a) + (a-2) - 4

c = 2a - 6

substitute the values of b and c in equation(1)

a + a - 2 + 2a - 6 = 12

⇒4a - 8 = 12

4a = 12+8 = 20

a = \frac{20}{4} = 5

the hundred's unit is 5

tens unit, b = a-2 = 3

one's digit, c = (a+b-4) = (5+3-4) = 4

hence, the three digit number is 534
