Answer:

Edge of the cube is 11 cm (approx.)

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the question, we are given that there is some water filled in a hollow cylinder whose,

=> Diameter of cylinder = 14 cm

=> Radius of cylinder = 7 cm

=> Height of the cylinder = 8 cm

In that cylinder, a cubical block is immersed. Therefore we can say that, the volume of cylinder is the same as that of its cubical block.

=> Volume of cylinder = πr²h

=> Volume of cube = (Edge)³

According to the question,

=> Volume of cube = Volume of cylinder

=> (Edge)³ = πr²h

=> (Edge)³ = (22 × 7 × 7 × 8) / 7

=> (Edge)³ = 1232

=> Edge = ∛1232

=> Edge = 10.72 = 11 cm (approx.)

Therefore, the edge of cubical block is approximately equal to 11 cm.
