1. When there is lack of oxygen then pyruvate breaks in in to lactic acid and energy .It generally happen in the muscle cells in the body it may cause pain
2. when there is absence of oxygen then the party would breaks into ethanol, carbon dioxide and energy.
3. when there is a presence of oxygen then the pyruvate is broken into carbon dioxide, water and energy.
