When we say that metals are malleable and ductile, we refer to their ability to be either made into sheets or drawn into wires. Ductility is the ability of the metal to get stretched without sustaining damage whereas malleability refers to the ability of the metals to get deformed when compressed.

Non-metals are brittle is said because non metals can easily be broken by applying a little extra energy whereas metals do not break easily. Brittle refers to being broken or shattering easily. Graphite is an example of nonmetal that is brittle.

This is a property of the metals and when we say that metals are sonorous it means that they create a ringing sound when hit.

Any light incident that falls on the metals results in the light getting reflected back. This is because of the property of electrons present in the metals that vibrate when they come in contact with metals.

They thus, create their own light. This reflection causes the metals to appear shiny or lustrous.
