in this story, munshi premchand has beautifully shown that the excitement and joy of eid among children. though these children are not much aware about the eid and ramadan but still have fast because of their excitement for it. Hamid is a 4 year old boy who is comparatively more happy than the other children though he doesn't have good clothes and slippers. but still happiness can be seen on his face as he just wants to enjoy Eid to the fullest.
