Yes, your friend is right because the temperature whether it is hotness or coolness passes from one medium to another and at that time the first medium was display glass and the other medium was your hand. So the coolness came to your hand.
The first medium that was glass was cool and the other medium that was your hand was comparitively hot. So the cold temperature particals moved to the hot temperature particals
