Now, base of the isosceles triangle = x m. Therefore, its area =1/2× x × 12 = 6 x m2. According to our requirements, x2 + 3x = 6x + 4 i.e., x2 – 3x – 4 = 0
USING QUADRATIC FORMULA WE GET,
but x is not equal to 1
