Answer: The question is asked form the story Being Neighbourly which is the chapter in Little Women written by the writer Louisa May Alcott. Both the houses are opposite to each other.

The March's house looks old, brown house, whose walls used to get covered in flowers during summer time. It was a poor house.

The Laurence's house was a mansion built of stone. The house consisted of everything luxurious like big couch, lovely and rich curtains.

Explanation:

The two houses -The House of Lawrence and The House of March, are situated on two sides of the same suburb, but yet are poles apart.

The House of March is old and in a dilapidated state. The House of Lawrence, on the other hand has a rich, stately look making it out to be a good-looking mansion.

The House of March has a shabby look with all the plants dried and looking old and brown. The House of Lawrence has on the other hand has a well-kept ground and is well maintained.

The rooms in the two Houses too bear a different look. The room in the March home was comfortable but had old furniture and faded carpets whereas the one in the Lawrence home, had a neat library with books lined up and curios and knick knacks neatly arranged.
