HERE IS UR ANSWER↓↓
HEIGHT AB = 4 CM
BASE BC = 3 CM
WE KNOW THAT,
HYPOTENUSE SQUARE = PERPENDICULAR'S SQUARE + BASE'S SQUARE
SO HYPOTENUSE SQUARE = 4'S SQUARE + 3'S SQUARE
H SQUARE = 16 + 9
= 25
HYPOTENUSE = √25
= 5 CM
YOUR ANSWER

sahithi197: ans is 2 not 5

By pythagoras theorem,

AC^2=AB^2+BC^2

AC^2=4^2+3^2

AC^2=16+9

AC=sqrt(25)

AC=5

Now,

AD=DC=2.5(as BD bisects AC)

Further,

As we take right triangle ADB,

we see that by applying pythagoras theorem,

AB^2=AD^2+BD^2

4^2=2.25^2=BD^2

BD^2=16-6.25

BD=sqrt(9.75)

This is my ans.
