In elimination method firstly we have to
equal coefficient of any variable

11x+12y=58......... ( i ) ×12
12x+11y=57........... ( ii ) ×11

after multiplying 12 in equation ( i ) and 11 with equation (ii) we find

132x+144y=696
132x+121y=627
----------------------
23y=69
y=69/23
y=3

after putting the value of y in equation (i)
11x+36=58
11x=22
x=2
