  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

               Given data:- 20\%\ x=12.

               To find:-Value of given expression=?

               Solution:-

  • A percentage is a fraction of an amount expressed as a particular number of hundredths of that amount.
  • It is denoted by %.
  • We are using the unitary method to calculate the percentage of numbers.
  • Fractions can be converted into percentages and vice-versa.

        Therefore,

         20\%\ x=12\\=>\frac{20}{100}\times x=12\\=>\frac{20x}{100}  =12\\=>20x=12\times100\\=>20x=1200\\=>x=\frac{1200}{20} \\=>x=60.

       Hence we will get 20\%\ of\  60=12.
