2x-3y=-4.............1

x+2y=5..............2

now multiplying 2 in equation 2nd we get,

2(x+2y=5)

2x+4y=5.........3

now solving equation 1st and 3rd we get,

2x-3y=-4

2x+4y=5

7y=9

y=7/9

now for x,

2x-3y=-4

2x-3×7/9=-4

2x-7/3=-4

2x=-4+7/3

2x=-5/3

x=-5/6
