[12] 30 circular plates, each of radius 14 cm and thickness 3 cm are placed one above the another to form a cylindrical solid. Find : i)the total surface area of solid ii)volume of the solid so formed​

Answer :
(I) 9152cm^2
(ii) 55440cm^3

Step by step:
Total thickness of all plates = 30x3 = 90
(I) TSA of solid = 2 x pie x r(r+h)
= 2 x 22/7 x 14 (14+90)
= 88 x 104
= 9152cm^2

(ii) volume = pie x r^2 x h
= 22/7 x 14 x14 x 90
= 44 x 1260
= 55440cm^3
